Valle de la Trinidad.

March 3rd, 2014
The next morning it was cold! And I mean cold, like, freezing! Like there was ice on stuff. Even the mules were steaming in the early morning. Despite the fact, by the time Rogelio Sr. and Rogelio Jr. showed up we had managed to pry Luna out of the sleeping bag and the tent and have everything packed for another day of granite canyons and waterways giving over to dirt roads and small ranches before dropping into agricultural Valle de la Trinidad.

We camped in a not-yet-planted field surrounded by trees and were the atraction of the town, judging by the number of cars driving slowly by with people staring. Rogelio even had a bunch of his friends over for a talk with Nacho (somehow back with us again) and a look at what I can only assume was catalogued as the crazy gringas. We had tostadas that night, I don't know why I just remembered that!
